I grew up in Charleston, SC and received my BFA in Studio Art – Drawing from the University of South Carolina. Since I was a child, I had always wanted to pursue a career as an artist and focused mostly on graphite and color pencil artwork. At University I started working on much larger artworks and got the chance to experiment with new mediums. Now my work primarily uses oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic paint, and ink. My artwork is largely influenced by comic artists I grew up reading. I will often draw in a much more comic style but still draw realistically with comic influences still there.
