My work mostly journeys into fantasy and dreamlike worlds where I will place original characters into often used to symbolize emotion. Stars and deep water are common in my work because of the many mysteries that fall within them, just as with emotion. Against the quiet cold colors of the night or water, I will play with vivid colors to contrast and bring emotion into the characters who live in the worlds we are unfamiliar with. The mediums I use are selected based on how I would like the painting or drawing to be portrayed. Some works are much sharper with less up to the imagination, while others are much more blurred and soft. Ink is much darker and more dramatic, while oil pastel and acrylic are two mediums I find most playful because of how much texture and color can be brought to life
